Hounslow's latest police recruits made four arrests in as many hours on the borough's streets after going on duty for the first time this morning (Wednesday, June 25).

Having completed three months of studying, the latest batch of trainee constables today began a five week street duties course in Hounslow.

Earlier this afternoon, Hounslow Police tweeted that they had already made four arrests in under four hours, adding the hashtag 'goodwork'.

The previous team of new recruits are due to pass out this Friday, after completing their street duties course, and will join Hounslow Police's response team.

getwestlondon this morning caught up with two of the new recruits, Olly Royston, 30, and Samuel Milner-Brown, 26, before they went on beat.

Trainee PC Royston, who was previously a PCSO in Wiltshire for more than four years, said he was looking forward to meeting people and getting to know the area.

Trainee PC Milner-Brown, 26, who quit his job as a personal trainer in Kingston to join the force, said he would have to get used to walking around with a uniform on.
