RENTS in Hounslow are rising faster than almost anywhere else in London, new figures suggest.

The average home in the borough now costs £1,458 a month to rent, up 2.2 per cent from February, according to figures from FindaProperty.com.
The monthly increase was the fifth highest in the capital, where rental prices rose by 0.7 per cent during March.

Rents in Hounslow have risen by 3.8 per cent in the last year, according to the property website, compared with the 2.1 per cent London average.

Landlords in Lambeth were the big winners, with rents there going up by 2.7 per cent on average in March, while rental prices in Greenwich were worst hit, falling by 3.2 per cent.
