A good samaritan who came to the aid of a badly-injured man after a brutal attack in Feltham High Street is being asked to come forward again to help police.

Detectives investigating the serious assault on June 27, which left a 24-year-old man fighting for his life, have already charged a 16-year-old boy with GBH and Violent Disorder for his part in the incident.

But officers are anxious to speak to a man in his late thirties who discovered the victim at around 11.12pm, but left the scene after calling emergency services.

The victim is no longer in a life-threatening condition but his injuries are still described as 'extremely serious'.

The mystery witness, who is not a suspect, is described as a white man with short, dark hair, and was wearing a denim jacket and jeans on the night of the incident and carrying orange shopping bags.

This man or anyone else with information is urged to call DI Andy Rose at Hounslow CID on 020 8247 6160 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
