An author needs people to share their memories of RAF Eastcote.
Andy Weller, of Wentworth Drive, Eastcote, has two published books – A Journey of Ascent, and Signatures and Sacrament: A Story From London’s Past.
Both are fictional tales drawing on the lives of real figures, but for his latest venture he is taking inspiration from closer to home.
Mr Weller is looking at the former Government and US base and school in Lime Grove, Eastcote, now the Pembroke Park Estate.
The working title of the book is Secret Eastcote: The Government Site.
Mr Weller worked there between 1982 to 1984, and now he wants to hear from people prepared to share their memories.
He hopes the results can be put into a local archive and kept in The Stables at Eastcote House Gardens in High Road Eastcote, once restoration work there has been completed.
