If golf is a good walk spoiled, Hillingdon Open Studios week is the chance for a good walk enhanced by some great art.
Many of the studio spaces in the eight-day drop-in period are within an easy stroll, although to get around all of them you might need your walking boots.
Sixteen artists will host open days, allowing you a chance to chat to them about their art, see works in progress and – if tempted – buy something that takes your fancy.
Painters, photographers, print makers, sculptors and others will be taking part in the annual festival, from Saturday, September 20-Sunday, September 28.
Entry is free of charge.
