Look out ladies. The best of Fulham's eligible gentlemen will be on offer at a charity bachelor auction to be held today.

Fulham fitness club Energie and the Hurlingham Pub have joined forces to raise money for disabled children's charity Phabkids.

The event is the brainchild of Energie owner Dario Carabba, who hopes to set pulses racing with a crop of Fulham's finest single men.

The highest bidders will get a date with a one of the hunky specimens, who have been selected from customers at Dario's fitness club in Peterborough Road and regulars at the Hurlingham Pub.

"These men are the cream of Fulham, from a broad age range and they all have something to offer," said Dario.

"There were quite a few willing to do it but we have narrowed it down to about 10. I think the ladies are going to be excited."

Dario hopes to raise at least £1,500 on the night in aid of Phabkids.

The charity encourages disabled and non-disabled children to take part in a range of social and sporting activities together, with 200 clubs across the country.

"It's hard to come up with original fundraising ideas, but I thought this would be a fun way to get people involved and raise money," added Dario.

"It had to be guys we put up for this as they are a little bit braver. They'll have to be.

"These men are happy to stand up and put their reputation on the line and if bids only reach 50p, they are going to be gutted."

One Fulham man risking his dignity is James Pope, 25, a property developer and regular at Dario's gym who lives in Foskett Road.

"It's potentially embarrassing and you have to wonder how much these women are prepared to bid to save the dignity of a few men," he said.

"But I'm not too worried. It's a great cause and I might bully my housemate to come along and bid for me if all else fails." The event is on tonight at the Hurlingham Pub in Wandsworth Bridge Road, from 7pm.
