Drifting and heavy snow across London last night and this morning have led to the Met Office issuing severe weather warnings across the South East, with the wintry conditions forecast to last for the rest of the week.
Public transport passengers are being urged to check before they travel, expect disruption, and if their journey is neccesary then allow more time for it.
Further heavy snowfall is forecast throughout today and disruption is likely to continue throughout Monday.
Bus services have been suspended across the capital on safety grounds because of treacherous road conditions overnight.
Services remain suspended and will only resume when road conditions allow.
The vast majority of London's bus services operate along local authority maintained roads which have been particularly affected by the heavy snowfall.
Transport for London advises passengers to check before travelling by calling 24-hour the London Travel information helpline: 020 7222 1234.
