The mother of a missing Feltham teenager who was due to take his driving test today has issued an emotional appeal for his return.

Mohammed Rashel Miah, 19, who has learning difficulties, has been missing from his home in Boundaries Road since 12.45pm on August 20.

His parents and four siblings say they have been searching the streets night and day looking for him and are completely mystified about his disappearance.

Mohammed's distraught mum Rasheda, 37, told the Chronicle: “No-one can explain how this is affecting us all. I'm so depressed and can barely sleep. I just want to see if he's okay and hold him in my arms. We have no idea where he has gone, or why. He didn't even say goodbye to me before he left.”

Mohammed, a former pupil at Clarendon School in Hanworth Road, Hampton, had just completed an entry level course in adult literacy at Richmond College prior to his disappearance.

He was due to have a driving lesson at 3.30pm on the day of disappearance, and was to take his driving test at Isleworth Test Centre in Worton Road, Isleworth, today.

Rasheda told the Chronicle her son said that he was going to the library but no-one at any local branch has seen him.

Sgt Andy Kemp, of Hounslow Police's missing persons unit, said Mohammed used his Oyster card last Friday and believes the teenager was still in the area.

Mohammed is described as 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with short black hair, and was last seen wearing a stripey grey and black cardigan, dark jeans, and white Adidas trainers. His family think he may have also taken his Nike rucksack with him.

His 17-year-old sister Rojena added: “Mohammed, if you read this then please get in touch as we are really, really worried about you. If you can't talk to us, then you can talk to anyone of your aunties or uncles. We just want to know you are safe.”
