PLANS to build a 50 bed hotel in Hayes have been given the go ahead.

Last night Hillingdon Council's central and south planning committee approved the proposal for a hotel at the Golden Cross public house in Botwell Lane, Hayes.

Twenty-one objection letters were received by the council voicing concerns over adequate parking, anti-social behaviour and congestion.

The proposal includes 33 parking spaces and requires the demolition of the pub's function hall.
