X-FACTOR fans will find out this week if Harrow's Johnny Robinson has made it through to the live shows of the popular singing competition after scooping a coveted spot in the final 32.

The 45-year-old West Harrow hopeful was amongst just eight people to make it into the over 25s category of the show, which is expected to be whittled down to just four when they travel to the 'judge's houses' on the show this weekend.

In past competitions each of the four categories, the girls, the boys, the over 25s and the groups have put through four acts in each band to vie for the top spot in a series of live shows.

Mr Robinson, who modestly told the Observer earlier in the competition that he just has 'a bit of an unusual blokes voice really', will fight it out for one of the spots in Louis Walsh's category during a trip to Barcelona.

He made it passed the 'boot camp' stage of the programme in last weekend's episodes despite forgetting some of the lyrics in his performance of Feeling Good, in front of a packed crowd at Wembley Arena, before admitting that he didn't know where Barcelona was.

If he is selected Mr Robinson will fight it out week after week in live shows and towards the end of that process each remaining act will get the chance to perform in their home town.

Speaking about that he added: "How great would it be if I got to the part in the show where you perform in front of a home crowd - I could bring the X-Factor to the St George's Centre."

Mr Robinson says he has been singing for as long as he can remember and moved to London around 17 years ago from Oxfordshire to pursue a career in showbiz.

Despite moving around in that time the unemployed popstar wannabe has lived in West Harrow for the past seven years.
