THE rapists who brutally attacked two 14-year-olds in a park in the centre of Harrow have been ordered to serve a combined jail term of more than 15 years.

Jeton Jashari, 18, and Binak Hasa, 19, lured the teens into the secluded Grove Open Space in broad daylight before the attack in September last year.

Hasa, of Salmon Street, Kingsbury, had met the pair on a 183 bus before Jashari, of Toorack Road, Wealdstone, turned up and they followed them through Harrow-on-the-Hill Tube Station.

The two girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were then separated and subjected to brutal attacks.

Albanian national Hasa grabbed one of the girl's head, forcing her to perform oral sex on him, before pushing her up against a tree and raping her anally.

Meanwhile Jashari, originally from Kosovo, had taken the other girl to another part of the woods and forced her to perform oral sex on him.

Following the attack Hasa stole one of the victims' mobile phone and the court heard how he called the other teen saying: "Don't mess with me, I will bomb your house and beat your best friend up. You don't want to mess with me, keep your little mouth shut".

Following their arrest both pleaded not guilty and in his first interview Hasa told police that he was 'virtually being raped himself' and 'could not believe his luck'.

Two weeks before trial, however, Hasa changed his plea, while Jashari maintained his innocence and was found guilty by a jury last month.

The court heard how both victims were struggling to get on with their lives and the mother of one of the teens described the attack as 'a life sentence'.

One of the victims says she suffers from panic attacks, has thrown up in the street on a number of occasions, and now carries her phone in one hand and a rape alarm in the other at all times.

During sentencing it emerged that Hasa has seven previous convictions for a number of offences, including assault.

He was also caught with a knife at school aged just 10 and has been taking cannabis and crack cocaine from a young age.

He was sentenced on Thursday to seven years and eight months, while Jashari was given seven years and nine months.
