A SPATE of Harrow Harlem Shakers have emerged on YouTube after the internet meme went viral last month.

The first Harlem Shake video was uploaded last month by five teenagers from Australia known on YouTube as The Sunny Coast Skate. Each video lasts about 30 seconds and feature part of the 2012 song Harlem Shake by electronic musician Baauer.

It has been one of the biggest viral explosions on YouTube. Last month 40,000 Harlem Shake videos were downloaded totally 175 million view – and still about 10,000 new versions are downloaded a day.

Harrow has joined the craze with Harrow High School and patrons of Yates Wine Bar and @SyncBar doing their own impromptu versions of the dance – with varying degrees of success.
