Harlington School is celebrating a marked improvement in A-level results.

Students achieved a 98 per cent pass rate.

The vast majority of sixth form students gained places at their preferred universities, and are now going to a wide range of educational establishments including a number of the prestigious Russell Group of institutions.

Harlington students have also ventured to universities overseas this year, with Afifa Butt and Avannit Sidhu flying out to France and Canada to attend Université Paris Descartes and Kwantlen Universities respectively.

Head Liz Horrigan said: "It is a testament to all the hard work on the part of all students and staff that our young men and women have achieved such strong results, and we wish all of them every success in their future lifelong learning."
