HAREFIELD Hospital has passed an unannounced inspection with flying colours.
A team from the Care Quality Commission visited the Hill End Road hospital in June and spoke to patients on the surgical and transplant wards.
The inspectors also assessed services such as welfare, nutritional needs, cleanliness and infection control.
Now their report, which has just been published, said the hospital was meeting all standards of quality and safety.
The inspectors wrote that the majority of patients and relatives they spent time with said their experience had been very positive, and staff were always polite and treated them with respect. All were satisfied with their overall care.
Caroline Shuldham, director of nursing and clinical governance at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “We believe patients deserve the best possible specialist treatment for their heart or lung condition and it is extremely good to know that we met all the checks during this latest visit at Harefield Hospital.
“We are committed to continuous improvement and will continue to build on this to ensure patients receive care of the highest possible quality.”
