ALL the hard work has paid off for high achiever, Alla Slabolinska, who has secured herself a place at law school.

The 18 year-old from Stanmore achieved some of the best grades in the year at Hatch End High School in Headstone Lane, Harrow.

Alla (pictured third from left) received an A* in history, A* in law and B in politics and has secured a place at Southampton University to study law.

She said: "It's really unexpected, I didn't think I would do so well, I expected good results but not this good and not an A*. All the hard work has paid off. I am really happy."

Ecstatic with his outstanding results, Utsav Radia, 18, from Stanmore achieved five A* in physics, chemistry, biology, maths and extended project which is equivalent of half a A level.

He said: "I set myself the challenge of taking five A levels because I knew I had to prove to myself that I could manage."

Utsav would like to become a doctor and have secured himself a place at Imperial College to study medicine. He added: "It is the best medical school, their teaching is good and my grandmother was a patient in Hammersmith hospital which is run by
Imperial. I am obviously really pleased with my results, I feel excited and confident."

Hoping to one day be a physicist, Robert Stein, 18, from Pinner bagged himself four A*'s for his A level results in chemistry, physics, maths and extended project.

He said: "I am really happy with what I have got, I was hoping to do well, I am not too sure about what I am going to do next but I would like to become a physicist one day."
