ACCORDING to Hanwell’s landmark clock, it has been 11.15 constantly for the past seven weeks.
A man living in the area said he has made several calls to Ealing Council alerting them to the faulty device on the Broadway but as yet nothing has been done. He said: “It appears time is not the only thing standing still in Hanwell.”
A council spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, the clock’s original power cable has stopped working after nearly 80 years.
“We are now waiting for Scottish and Southern Energy to restore the power supply so we can bring the clock back to full working order.”
