Katie Hollingworth, 29, who works in central London, said: "I want to be more ambitious and not be so worried career wise. The current job situation means you have to be more bold to get anywhere. I don't make resolutions usually - but when I do I keep them."
Milos Murin, 27, who is a student, said: "I haven't made a resolution, but if I had to make one on the spot, I'd like to smoke less. I don't want to quit though - I quite like smoking. The new smoking laws help. Will I be successful? I'll give it a shot."
Ken Daly, 70, is an ex-Ealing cricketer. He said: "I'll do more to get Britain to join the Euro, because Britain can no longer pretend it's the power it used to be. President Elect Obama will want to work with Europe more than Britain."
Elizabeth Gale, 23, who was meeting a friend in Hammersmith, said: "I want to stop smoking and grow my hair. I've been smoking for nine years and feel it's time to stop."
Ivanka Dittrich, 39, who works in Hammersmith, said: "I want to change my job, but if my boss reads this, I want to focus on my career. My daughter is growing up so I can put more hours into my job. I think it'll be easy to do."
