A woman has died under a tube train at Hammersmith underground station, Hammersmith Broadway.

The incident happened on the eastbound District line at 7.26am this morning and the victim was confirmed dead at the scene.

There was widespread disruption to the District Line on Wednesday after a woman died under a train.

The identity of the woman has not yet been released be released by British Transport Police.

District Line services were suspended between Earl's Court and Richmond and Earl's Court and Ealing Broadway.

At 8am a shuttle service was introduced between Acton Town and Ealing Broadway.

Trains began stopping at all stations at 8.35am.
