HUNDREDS of people gathered at the funeral of a mother who was killed in a fire which destroyed three houses.
Jane Crotty,of Hazel Avenue, West Drayton, died from smoke inhalation in the blaze at Coopers Court, Mile End, in east London earlier this month.
The fire broke out after the 27-year-old had returned to her friend's flat in the block from the E3 nightclub where that evening she had won a dancing competition.
She leaves behind her two sons, Stevie Jay,10 and Reece, eight.
The funeral took place on Monday at St Augustine's Church, in Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith.
Her mother Patricia Crotty,48, of Hazel Avenue,West Drayton, said: "It was the best funeral we could have had, like a last party, with so many people.
"Family and friends came from all over the country because that was how popular Jane was, she was the life and soul of the party."
She added that although Jane was the mother of two, she was more like a sister because she was such a fun loving person who would do anything for people.
Mrs Crotty added: "I still can't believe she has gone.
"When I saw her being buried I couldn't believe that it was her.
"For the first couple of days after she died I kept my phone with me hoping that she would call me even though the police said it was likely to be her."
She added that her daughter was her first born and the love of her life and that she would do anything for her children.
