It was a full house to celebrate great-grandmother Christine Pearce's 100th birthday in Bedfont on Saturday (4).

More than 80 people turned up mark her centenary including her 55 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, six children, old friends from Hounslow and neighbours from the sheltered housing where she lives for a surprise party at Burlington House.

The 100-year-old was all smiles as she received her card from The Queen, a number of bouquets and gifts on her special day, and a beautiful cake.

There was plenty of food and drink to go round and everyone reminisced about the past.
