Talented students took to the stage to perform world-famous blockbuster musicals for their annual shows. Months of hard work paid off for pupils at Rooks Heath College in Eastcote Lane, South Harrow, and Hatch End High School in Headstone Lane, Harrow.

It was the era of hot rods and rock ’n’ roll for the Hatch End youngsters as they performed a four-night run of Grease earlier this month.

The cast of more than 100 included pupils from Cedars Manor School in Whittlesea Road, Harrow, and St Teresa's Catholic School in Long Elmes, Harrow.

Headteacher Sue Maguire said: “The cast really did reflect the huge variety of different cultures in the school and should make us all very proud of what non-selective, comprehensive education is all about.”

Students at Rooks Heath College brought the troubles of post-revolutionary France to life as they put on Les Misérables over three nights last week.
