Getwestlondon reporter Poppy Bradbury has thanked everyone who has helped her raise £1,000 ahead of her charity chop this weekend.

The 26-year-old will be shaving off her long brown hair and donating her locks to Little Princess Trust who make real hair wigs for children who have lost theirs because of illnesses including cancer.

She will face the shears at Light Hair Studio in Notting Hill tomorrow.

Poppy said: “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far. I have been genuinely shocked and touched by everyone’s generosity and support.

“I’ve also had lots of donations from people I don’t know who think I’m doing a great thing for a great cause, which is just lovely.

“Today is my last full day with a full head of hair. I woke up feeling really nervous today, but lots of friends and family will be coming down to support me tomorrow, so it should be a lot of fun.”
