Gareth Thomas, Labour MP for Harrow West, has been named shadow minister for civil society in the new look shadow cabinet unveiled by Labour leader Ed Miliband today.

Gareth Thomas, Labour MP for Harrow West, has been named shadow minister for civil society in the new look shadow cabinet unveiled by Labour leader Ed Miliband today.

Coincidentally, Mr Thomas - who used to be shadow minister for higher education and science - will be shadowing the portfolio of neighbouring Conservative MP, Nick Hurd, who represents Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner.
