A MURDERER has been sent down for life after being found guilty of a revenge killing.

Herland Billali, 26, believed his victim was intruding onto his patch stealing money from parking meters and shot him dead in Park Royal Road.

He was given a minimum of 34 years at Snaresbrook Crown Court on the second anniversary of Prel Marku's death on Tuesday (14).

As well as the murder of the 22-year-old he was also convicted of the attempted murder of three other men aged in their 20s and 30s.

A second man, Kujtim Spahiu, 35, was found guilty of the same charges in July last year. He was also sentenced to life imprisonment.

Detective Inspector Tariq Sarwar of Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "Herland Billali was a main player in an Eastern European organised criminal network who were responsible for the large-scale theft of money from parking meters in central London to the value of £1.2million.

"Billali and Spahiu armed themselves with firearms and tracked those others to a premises in Park Royal where they discharged a number of shots at the men who were trapped inside.

"This resulted in the death of Prel Marku who received a fatal shot to the head and the serious injury of others who received gunshot wounds to their back and legs.

"Another man leapt from the second floor window in an effort to escape and received injuries. "There was no evidence to suggest that Prel was involved in the thefts from meters."
