Your leading article ('The nudes and the prudes', Harrow Observer, October 16) on the controversy about Harrow Art Society's exhibition is spot on.
Yes, we do desperately need a proper art gallery/exhibition space in Harrow. We also desperately need a proper performance space to match those in surrounding boroughs. The Gayton Library site development is not going ahead. It is an empty site with a boarded up former library. I hope that we can re-visit the proposals to use this site for a combined central and reference library with a performance and exhibition space, as was initially envisaged on a cross-party basis.
