A STANMORE nursery celebrated its 40th birthday with a summer fair.
More than 70 children and their parents turned up for an afternoon of face-painting and games at the Honeypot Lane Pre-school, in The Scout Hut, Honeypot Lane on Tuesday.
Food from around the world was on sale for the visitors to sample and there were treats for adults including massages, a lucky dip and a tombola.
The school, which is run as a charity, raised £1,200.
Sona Dunne,chair of the management committee and event organiser,said: "It all went really well and the money raised will go directly into the pre-school, for things the school needs.
"It was great to be able to celebrate the 40th birthday and it was a lovely day."
Adam Ant entertained the kids with activities and songs, including a rendering of Happy Birthday complete with a 40th birthday cake.
Nursery nurse Andrea Chrysostomous said: "It was amazing.The kids didn't know where to go first and they all really enjoyed the entertainer."
