Bus loads of disadvantaged and disabled children across the borough enjoyed the ride of their lives at Chessington World of Adventures.

The rollercoaster of a day included whisking 80 daredevil youngsters for a fun-packed day out at the theme park in Surrey, last Wednesday (11).

Members of the Heston and Isleworth rotary club who sponsored the annual outing raised £1,200 putting a smile on the face of dozens of children.

Rotarians and other support staff organised a pick up at Oakland School in Isleworth then travelled to Chessington where they spent the day arranging rides and entertainment for the children.

Club president, Brian Thompson, said: "This was another successful outing for disabled children from the community, and we take great pleasure in supporting this event.’’

The club showed their continued support for people in the community by presenting a £750 donation to the Hounslow Toy Library, earlier this month.
