An IT analyst at Fulham FC has won a car to rival that of top-earning footballers.
Michael Akuamoah, from Parsons Green, scooped a £98,000 BMW M6 from dream car competition company Best of the Best.
The sports car competition company is often found at airports and shopping centres, such as Westfield in White City.
The 37-year-old was in the middle of a week off when he took a call from his boss requesting he attend an urgent meeting.
When he got to the car park, on March 24, he received the shock of his life when Best of the Best boss Will Hindmarsh handed over the jaw-dropping prize.
Mr Akuamoah, who also scooped £10,000 cash, said afterwards: “I turned away from the camera because I got really teary.
“I was determined not to cry in front of everyone but it was a really emotional moment. I’ve been willing this moment to happen for years so but when it did I was completely awestruck.”
The good news was made extra sweet as Mr Akuamoah wrote off his car two years ago and never had it replaced.
Mr Hindmarsh said: “From speaking to Michael’s work colleagues at Fulham they all said it couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke so it was a real privilege to hand over the keys,”
