A WHIRLWIND fundraising campaign raised an incredible £15,000 which will help the parents of death fall musician Tom Ousby cover the travel costs arising from his death.

Unbeknown to his parents, Lea and John,  family friend Lisa Wadman, 25, created a donation website to raise money for the family.

Within minutes of the site launching on Saturday, thousands of pounds had flooded in with messages of condolence.

The original target of £10,000 was met in just 48 hours, but with so many people still wanting to help, Lisa and Tom’s brother, Lewis, 23, agreed to increase the target to £15,000 to help pay for a wake.

On Tuesday evening the new target had been met and Tom's parents were told.

Tom, 19, was found dead around 7am on August 1 after reportedly falling 60ft from a ninth floor fire escape at a hotel in Magaluf where he was working for the summer.

The events leading up to his death remain a mystery but Spanish police have already closed the investigation labelling the incident an accident but his family and friends are campaigning for a full inquiry.
