One of the last people to see Jamil Palmer before he was brutally stabbed to death in Feltham said he was 'laughing and chatting as always'.

Georgia McConnachie, 17, of Butts Farm, recalled her final moments with the 18-year-old at her home in Hanworth where they were hanging out with another friend, before he left to go to Crane Park where he was killed.

The teenage girl had met Jamil of Belgrade Road, Hampton, through a mutual friend several years ago in the area and struck a friendship.

She said: "The first time I met Jamil was around Hampton/Hanworth and to be honest I think it was him that started the conversation we had, can't really remember as it was quite a while ago, just that he was lovely, and then started seeing him around Butts Farm, and then he started visiting often with another friend that I have grown up with all through school.

"He was the kinda boy that would always be there for you no matter what. Love and cared for his family and friends a lot!

"Going to miss him very much and his surprise visits, his always happy face with that big smile!

"The last time I saw Jamil was just before what happened!

"And we was at mine with another friend just having a laugh, do what we always do and chatting.

"Going to miss him a lot, such a funny lad, always made you smile no matter how you was feeling!

"Will cherish all the memories I have with Jamil forever.

"Will remember you forever and always!"

Donna Abrey, Georgia's mum, said Jamil was a family friend and had visited her daughter at their home before he went to the park, and they were devastated when later they heard he had died.
