POLICE are making fresh appeals for information relating to the murder of a man who was gunned down inside a barber's shop.

Wayne Freckleton, 25, died instantly when he was shot in the head as he waited for a haircut at Ike's, in Acton Lane, Harlesden, on the afternoon of April 25.

About eight customers were in the room at the time of the attack and it is believed a number of passers-by may have witnessed the killers leaving the crime scene.

DCI John MacKenzie of Trident said: "There are still a number of witnesses who have not yet come forward, they are people that were very close to the scene of the murder.

"It is imperative that all available evidence is put before the court so that an informed decision can be made at trial.

"Anyone who has concerns about coming forward, I would like to reassure them they will receive the full support of the MPS."

Police raided a home in Essex in May and arrested Jamal Smith, 26, from Colchester and Richard Osbourne, 26, of Larix Court, Harlesden Road, in connection with the killing.

They appeared at Brent Magistrates' Court charged with murder on Saturday last week and have been remanded is custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 8.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting or the individuals responsible should call Brent Police on 020 8733 4704, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
