A charity working to help children with autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) were treated to a special visit by leading politicians.

Minister for the Cabinet Office Francis Maude MP (Conservative) joined the Kids Can Achieve group on Thursday last week in Pinner Green, Pinner, to witness the fantastic work they do.

Simon Jarrett, chair of Kids Can Achieve, said: "The minister was very interested to see how support of this nature prevents significant problems further down the line, and help children and their families to lead happier, positive lives."

The charity aim to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families affected by autistic spectrum disorders and ADHD by offering support in the form of coffee morning support groups, one to one sessions, benefit form advice, counselling, art therapy and anger management.

Mr Maude said: "Tough economic times demand creative thinking about how we can deliver public services to provide more for less.

"I am full of admiration for the work that Kids Can Achieve does to improve the quality of life for the young people and families it supports.”
