TV work, modelling and her own beauty range are clearly not enough for former TOWIE star Amy Childs, who has spoken of her desire to go into teaching.

The Only Way is Essex favourite met budding beauticians at West Thames College last week, and let them in on some secrets of the trade during a lively Q&A.

She enjoyed her time at the college in Isleworth so much she said she was considering branching out into teaching one day.

"I'm really encouraged by how enthusiastic the students are at West Thames College and I would love to teach beauty therapy to the next generation someday," she said.

Ms Childs, who has her own line of clothing and beauty products, spoke to hair, tanning, make-up and beauty students at the college last Wednesday (February 11).

She told them how she had been a model pupil at school and attended Brentwood Academy in Essex, where she earned a level three diploma in beauty specialist techniques.

She spent the next two years as a beauty therapist, slogging it out working six-day weeks at a tanning salon, before shooting to fame in the reality show.

West Thames College is holding open evenings on Wednesday March 18, at Feltham Skills Centre, and on Tuesday March 24, at its Isleworth campus. For more information and to register, visit www.west-thames.ac.uk/en/events.
