Plans to build a health centre on the former Yiewsley Pool site have finally been submitted, three years after the idea was first tabled.

Hillingdon Council has lodged an application for a purpose-built medical centre on the 1.2-acre site in Otterfield Road, Yiewsley.

The vision is to bring three existing surgeries - Otterfield Practice, Yiewsley Family Practice and High Street Practice - under one roof, and provide modern, energy-efficient facilities in the three-storey building. It would be open 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

There will also be a floor for fitness and sports activities and 'supported housing' surrounding the centre.
