Friends of Cathja , the charity based on a Dutch barge in Isleworth which uses art to help people with mental health problems, has been awarded £1,500.

The floating charity was this week presented with a cheque by the organisers of June's Isleworth Street Party.

The money will go towards buying a minibus for the charity, which operates out of the 38-foot boat moored beside the London Apprentice pub.

Friends of Cathja encourages people to express their creative sides to help them cope with their mental health issues.

An estimated 2,000 revellers attended the Isleworth Street Party , one of a series of events held this summer under the Inspiring Isleworth banner.
