A FAMILY run fish and chip shop has been named as one of the top 40 in the UK.
The National Federation of Fish Friers has named Aquarius in Victoria Road, Ruislip Manor, as one of the top restaurants of the year.
The shop, which opened in 1995, has also won the Seafish Friers Quality Award for the past four years.
The owner, Mustafa Ogretici, 29, is hoping to capitalise on the success of the restaurant by opening another one in Ruislip called Sea Breeze.
He said: "I am so busy in Ruislip Manor so I want to take some of the pressure off.
"I think it will be very popular because Ruislip is a much busier high street.
"It's going to be a modern and elite version of Aquarius with fish tanks in the walls and a new logo and colour scheme. There will be no cutting corners.
"I think it will be the best fish restaurant in Middlesex. I don't like to be second to anything.
"My uncle ran a successful fish restaurant in Istanbul and he is coming to help me and one of the chefs at Aquarius, Atila Aruk, will be the manager."
Mr Ogretici has also applied for planning permission to extend Aquarius into a double unit.
Sea Breeze will open in Ruislip High Street in mid-October.
