A midnight blaze saw four fire engines and 20 firefighters rush to Claremont Way in Cricklewood last night.

A stack of rubbish five-metres tall set on fire, with engines from Hendon and West Hampstead fire stations attending the incident.

The brigade was called at 10.50pm and the fire was under control by 1.30am this morning.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Last week we reported on the London couple who accidentally set fire to their bed while trying to keep warm. And last month a shop was saved from ruin after a passerby spotted a mysterious fire in a square shape.
