MAY I, through the good offices of your paper, publicly offer my congratulation to Ickenham Festival's new chairman, David Edingtonc and his wife, Jenny, plus of course their team, for an absolutely superb festival, which was extremely well organised and supported by the Residents' Association.
These events don't just happen, they obviously require a great deal of planning and organisation to make sure it all happens on the day.
I have just returned from the village this morning and many, many residents were talking in very positive terms about the multitude of events.
This festival brings the whole community together.
I am sure it was a steep learning curve for David, but he rose to the challenge - and succeeded.
Magnificent. Well done to you all.
