‘Boy racers’ and fans of their stunts who gather in Uxbridge Industrial Estate are facing a crackdown.

Hillingdon police have obtained a dispersal order for a large part of the estate and surrounding alleyways and the Grand Union Canal towpath.

They say it follows complaints from people living in the area about noise and anti-social behaviour from the drivers and their friends who congregate to show off cars, race and perform car manoeuvres and stunts such as ‘drifting’ and ‘doughnuts’.

Under the terms of the order, which runs from Monday, June 16 at 8pm until 3am on Tuesday, December 16.

It includes Eskdale Road, Ashley Road, Salisbury Road, Wallingford Road and Arundel Road on the estate itself, plus the path between Iver Lane and St John’s Road and the canal towpath between Iver Lane and Cowley Mill Road.

The standard dispersal zone rules apply: anyone under 16 years old in the area after 9pm and not accompanied by a ‘responsible adult’ can be taken home by police officers if they are ‘involved in, or at risk from, anti-social behaviour’.

Police say complaints, mainly from businesses in the estate, have included people urinating and defecating in their grounds, littering, damage to street furniture

Neighbours can call the local policing team for the area on 020 7161 8170 if problems persist.
