A family of six have been rescued from a house fire by a police officer on patrol in Imperial Road this morning (22).

The officer named as PC Cathy Richards was on her shift when she spotted flames coming from the Bedfont home.

It is believed all the family were still in bed at the time the fire started.

Colleague of Ms Richards, Sgt Nigel Treacy, neighbourhood sergeant for Feltham West, praised the heroics efforts made by his co-worker on Twitter.

London Fire Brigade said they were called to a fence on fire on Imperial road at 8.41am this morning.

London Ambulance Service attended.
