A family fun evening brought together people from all generations to help raise money for local charities.

Local author Naa Korkoi Abotchi’s story-telling kept children enchanted while Kai’s Sankofa Box handicraft workshop kept them on their toes, both helping to raise more than £200 for the Mayor of Harrow Councillor Nana Asante's charities Flash Musicals and Harrow Community Choir on Saturday night.

Ms Asante said: "It was great to rediscover the beauty of meeting across generations and sharing time together.

"It was good to have an inter-generational event, where different sections of the community could have a lovely time in one space, with something for everyone."
