THE Gazette got a cheeky first look at the new lights and Christmas decorations in The Chimes shopping centre - and they are great!

But the official switch on is not until Sunday, when one lucky family - judged 'the most festive in the borough' - gets to throw the switch officially, along with X Factor star Marcus Collins and the mayor of Hillingdon, to start Christmas shopping season in the town.

Crowds will be large, so get down to The Chimes early - the fun starts at noon.
