Empty promise for train users

I DO so sympathise with Ms Osborne and the problems she and her family had changing trains at Clapham Junction.

To people living here, the Watford-Brighton line is a necessity, not a luxury, and no way should it be cut.

Promises of assistance made to the Harrow Public Transport Users' Association were as much use as Neville Chamberlain's famous piece of paper.

Anybody believing that sort of empty promise is living in cloud-cuckooland.
