An Elvis Presley charity night held in memory of one of The King's biggest fans raised more than £1,100.

Sarah Howard organised the fundraising evening at Isleworth Working Mens Club in tribute to her late dad John Hendley, who lived on the Beavers estate in Hounslow.

He so admired the crooner he spent his last night on earth last year singing Love Me Tender, despite struggling to breathe due to lung cancer.

Elvis impersonator Richard Atkins wasn't the only one mimicking the snake-hipped singer at the charity evening on Saturday (July 18).

Peter Nickels was among those who dressed as The King

Several punters also donned his trademark jumpsuit or recreated his signature quiff to get in the spirit, helping to raise £1,115 for The Mulberry Centre, a cancer support charity based at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth.

Ms Howard said: "It was a great evening I was lucky to have so many lovely people who came to support a brilliant cause. It was so successful I will be doing it again next year."
