THIS letter is a plea for conscientious recycling.
Believing in what I read about global warming and being very observant, I am profoundly disappointed at the defiance of many people who adamantly refuse to recycle their refuse. This is obvious by the fact that they never use the facilities provided by the council, such as green boxes, white bags for plastic and pink bags for garden waste. Instead they deposit
numerous overflowing black sacks full of every kind of useful waste, including tin and glass. I am surprised that the black sack collectors do not notice this feckless behaviour.
I suggest the council again distribute leaflets in simple English reminding the thoughtless or unintelligent among us, of their duties to the environment and the rest of the community. What planet are they on that they should be allowed to live in such blissful ignorance?
