Only days remain for the owner of a winning Lotto Jackpot ticket worth £1,045,504 to come forward.
The ticket was bought in Ealing for the draw on June 28 (2014), the same day as the Greenford Carnival, and must be claimed no later than Christmas day.
The ticket matches the winning numbers 8, 12, 28, 30, 43, 49.
If no-one claims it before the deadline, the prize money and all the interest it has generated will go to help National Lottery funded projects across the UK, like Construction Youth Trust.
Hitting the streets of Ealing and visiting a local Lottery funded project Construction Youth Trust, a registered charity that helps young people to access training, education and employment opportunities in the construction industry, The National Lottery team asked people what they would do if they were to become an instant millionaire on Christmas day.
Sharna Riddex-Augustin, 20, student of Construction Youth Trust, said: “I’d split the money, give £20,000 to my mum, give some to charity and invest the rest.
“Where is the missing ticket? I hope it’s not in someone’s bin.”
Ryan, 17, student of Construction Youth Trust, said: “If I discovered I was a Christmas millionaire I would sit my family down, tell them the news and celebrate. I’d divide up the money, giving it to my family so we all had a share. I wouldn’t change my Christmas plans but hopefully I’d change my family’s lives.
“I reckon the missing ticket is probably in the wash…but hopefully not.”
Market trader, Charlie Puddle, 20, said: “I’d take the whole family on holiday to Alaska. I’d still spend Christmas as normal with my family, then I’d watch my friend play football – same as I do every year. If anyone in Ealing is deserving of that win it’s my Nan. She is 78 years old and has worked at her fruit and veg stall in west Ealing since the age of 15.
“Where is the missing ticket? In the side pocket of a car door.”
