Get West London has spoken to the winner of the men’s event, Jonathon Poole.

He said: “It was a dream race really and the weather was great, it absolutely amazing, I’m always surprised by the number of people who come out on a Sunday morning to support us, I don’t think you can expect any better.”

The start of the Ealing half marathon 2017

The sixth annual Ealing half marathon is taking place today.

Thousands of runners have set off in beautiful sunshine this morning, with the elite athletes going across the start line first, followed by the more casual runners, which included some in fancy dress, and some local celebrities too.

The runners set off from Lammas Park and then follow a 13.1-mile closed road route through the leafy streets and parks of Ealing and can look forward to superb crowd support along the way.
