THE Gazette is proud to announce it has been shortlisted for Weekly Newspaper of the Year (Free) in the EDF Energy London and South of England Media Awards 2012.
The awards aim to celebrate the best in regional journalism and we are honoured to be selected for the gong.
Editor Adrian Seal said: “I am delighted that all the hard work of the team on the Gazette has been recognised. The paper is very much at the heart of the community and this is reflected in its coverage week in, week out.
“We really focus on what matters to the readers and are proud to be the paper of record for the borough. The Gazette has also been very much involved in helping to get the town back on its feet after the destruction of last August’s riots.”
Whether we win will be decided at an awards ceremony at the Amex Stadium in Brighton on Thursday, November 1.
