A bus had to be taken out of service in Ealing this morning (Tuesday) after the driver was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a passenger.
People travelling east on the 83 bus had to get off in Hanwell Broadway at around 10am while the driver, a young Asian man in his 20s, was taken to Acton police station.
Police and community support officers were on the scene for around an hour before the First bus was sent back to its garage in Alperton.
Sgt Phillip Owens, of Ealing Police, said: "There's been an altercation and it's being dealt with. It's a minor incident."
A First spokesman said: "The driver has been arrested and taken to Acton police station. We're waiting for his to come back in to find out more."
