A MAN from Appletree Avenue has been given a suspended jail sentence after being found guilty of carrying weapons in nearby Peartree Avenue.
Quintan Jeyapalan, 30, of Appletree Avenue, Yiewsley, was given a three month jail term suspended for three years after being found guilty of carrying a cricket bat and a pick axe handle in Peartree Avenue, Yiewsley, on October 24 last year.
Gobi Sivanthan, 29, of Crowland Avenue, Hayes, was also convicted of being in possession of a cricket bat and pick axe handle.
He was also convicted of being in possession of cannabis and driving an Audi while over the alcohol limit.
Sivanthan was given a two month suspended jail sentence, and has been banned from driving for 17 months.
Both were also ordered to pay court costs of £300 to the CPS.
